Altus Intermediate School is a 5th and 6th grade level center that serves approximately 500 students. AIS offers a diverse array of extra-curricular activities including Girls and Boys Basketball, Cross Country, Archery, Music, Beginning Band, Art, Wrestling, and Cheerleading. Altus Intermediate School also provides a rigorous curriculum aligned with the Oklahoma Academic Standards, which includes opportunities for students to participate in Academic Teams, Extended Studies, STEM activities in our Maker Space, and challenging reading programs offered by the Library.
