Dear AECC Parent/Guardian:

This is an exciting time in the life of your son or daughter. We wish to recognize their achievements this year with a Kindergarten Graduation. All Altus Public Schools kindergarten students are invited to participate. This will be held on Tuesday, May 16th at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place in the Altus High School gymnasium. The gymnasium is located directly south of the auditorium.

Students will gather at the high school auditorium, located at 500 South Park Avenue, prior to the ceremony. Your student can be dropped off no earlier than 5:15 and needs to be in place by 5:30 so that we can help them with caps and gowns.

Drop-off points are as follows:

L. Mendel Rivers- Stage door of the auditorium in the Southeast corner of the auditorium (facing the gym)

Froelich, Hobbs, Sanchez, and Warren- Stage door of the auditorium in

Northeast corner of the auditorium (facing the houses)

Baldwin, King, Knight, Witter- the front door of the auditorium, entering through the right side of the auditorium

Bain, Robinson, Rothchild, Westervelt- the front door of the high school auditorium, entering through the left side of the auditorium

Please make sure your child's teacher has highlighted their name showing they are present before you leave for the school gym

Following the recessional, students will return to the auditorium. They will need to be signed out from your child's teacher. Please do not remove your child from their line until they have been signed out. This is to ensure the safety of all students.

Caps and gowns are being provided for the ceremony. Following the graduation, the cap and tassel will be yours to keep. If you wish to purchase the gown, the price will be $10. Payment can be sent to your child's teacher in advance or during the parent meeting for graduation.

Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and shoes. Girl's hair should be down or in a lower ponytail to accommodate the cap. Large bows on top of the head will not allow the cap to stay on.

Photo backdrops will be available for you to take pictures of your child either before drop-off or after the ceremony. Mrs. Rhonda Garrison will also be taking pictures during the ceremony as each child is recognized. The pictures during the ceremony will be available to you free of charge. More information on how to access those pictures will be forthcoming.

We are very excited to host this celebration for our littlest bulldogs! Thank you,

AECC Kindergarten Teachers
